API keys
An API key is the access for a system you connect yourself: your shop, your old CRM, a script on your server. It travels as a header with every call, belongs to the whole account and may do whatever the account's permissions allow.

Records arrive from outside through the intake API: from a form on your website, from an ad account, from another system. It is open in every account, even without a booked module, because a record belongs to the core of the application and not to an add-on.

A source token is a ready-made address an outside source posts its data to. The access sits in the link itself, no header required. That lets in systems where nothing can be configured except a field for an address: lead forms on ad platforms, form builders, a contact form on somebody else's page.

The log answers one question, and in daily operation it comes up constantly: is anything arriving from this source, and with what result? It sits as the fourth tab of the API area and shows the last twenty-five calls with time, method, path, status and duration.
