Trigger: No-show
1 min read
Starts when an appointment is marked "Guest did not show" or "Host did not show". One trigger covers both.
Step by step
- Create an automation and choose "No-show" as its trigger.
- Use a filter on "Appointment status" to decide whether it is about the guest or the host.
- Add the steps, such as an email asking the guest for a new time, and switch it on.
Why one trigger for two cases?
Because the same usually follows, and you would otherwise maintain two automations. To tell them apart, check the appointment status in a filter.
Which appointment is in the email?
The missed one, even if a new appointment is already open on the record. '{{ appointment.date }}' names the day nobody came.
Can I do something else the second time?
Yes, with a condition or a branch. How often a guest missed is visible on the record from its appointments.
Does it fire by itself when nobody enters anything?
No. Then "Appointment outcome missing" fires the day after the appointment.
