Archive
1 min read
Takes the record out of the board and the list without deleting it. The typical last step of an automation — case closed, view tidied. The same step also brings a record back.
Step by step
- In the flow, choose the plus and take Archive.
- Under What happens choose between archiving and taking out of the archive.
- Save.
- To check, set the Archive filter on the board to on — the record reappears there.
Is the record deleted?
No. It is kept in full, with history, notes and documents, and comes back at any time through the archive filter.
Does the automation carry on afterwards?
Yes. Unlike deleting, the record still exists — a following step can add a note or send an email.
Can an automation bring a record back?
Yes, with the same step set to take out of the archive. That is usual when an archived case gets in touch again.
Do automations still run on an archived record?
Existing runs finish. New triggers still fire — archiving is a matter of the view, not a lock.
When should I use an end stage instead?
When the case should stay visible on the board, for reporting for instance. Archiving is the step for what may leave the view.
