Trigger: Signature declined

Fires when the recipient explicitly declines on the signing page, with whatever reason they gave. Without this route the process waits fourteen days on someone who said no long ago.
Step by step
- Create an automation and pick “Signature declined”.
- Usually: a task for the owner, stage back, a note with the reason.
- The reason appears in the record's timeline in plain text.
Is a reason mandatory?
No. A mandatory field here means people type anything or close the window — and then you know nothing at all.
Can they change their mind?
Not over the same link. The state lives in the row, not in the token. A new request carries fresh documents.
What happens to the prepared documents?
They are deleted. An unsigned PDF is not proof, it is an intermediate state holding personal data. The events remain.
Does it fire on withdrawal?
No. Withdrawal happens from the inside, and whoever does it already knows.
