Ends the run here and records why. It matters most inside branches: a path that stops without a note looks like one where somebody forgot the last step.

Step by step

1. In the flow, choose the plus at the end of the path that should stop and take End.
2. Enter a note giving the reason — it appears later in the run inspector.
3. Save.

Do I need this step? The run ends by itself.

Functionally no. It is for whoever looks in three months later: the note answers whether the stop is deliberate or something is missing.

Does it end the whole run or just the path?

The run. Steps after it in the same path do not run; with All matches the other paths carry on, because they are separate strands.

Does the run count as failed afterwards?

No, as ended. It does not appear under Stuck — only runs hanging on an error do.

Can I still mark the record when stopping?

Not with this step. To record the state, put Set fields or Change stage before it and end afterwards.
