Lead Detail View

The Lead Detail drawer opens when you click any lead card on the Kanban board. It provides a full view of the lead's data, lets you edit fields, view activity history, add notes, and manage assignments, all without leaving the CRM.

Opening the Lead Detail Drawer

  1. Go to CRM in the sidebar.
  2. Select your Entity.
  3. Click any lead card on the Kanban board.
  4. The drawer slides in from the right (or bottom on mobile).

You can also open the drawer from search results or list views if your CRM offers them.

What's Inside the Drawer

Header

  • Lead identifier – Usually the primary field (name, email, or custom) that identifies the lead.
  • Status badge – Current status; use the dropdown to change it. If the target stage has active automations, a safety confirmation appears first.
  • Assign – Assign the lead to a team member.
  • Close – Close the drawer (X or click outside).

Fields Section

All lead fields from your Entity appear here. Editable fields show as form inputs; read-only fields (e.g., system fields) are displayed as text.

  • Inline editing – Click a field to edit it. Changes save automatically or via a Save button, depending on configuration.
  • Field types – Text, email, phone, date, select, checkbox, etc. match your Entity definitions.

Activity & History

  • Timeline – A chronological list of changes: status updates, field edits, notes added, assignments.
  • Who and when – Each activity shows the user (if applicable) and timestamp.
  • Filter by type – Some views let you filter to notes only, status changes only, etc.

Notes & Mentions

  • Add a note – Type in the notes field and save. Notes appear in the activity timeline.
  • Mention a team member – Type @ followed by a name to mention someone. They receive an email and in-app notification.
  • Use cases – Call summaries, follow-up reminders, internal comments for your team.

Tasks

  • Create a task – Switch to the Task tab in the composer to assign a task with an optional due date and owner.
  • Daily reminders – Task owners receive daily email reminders once the due date arrives, until the task is completed.
  • Complete a task – Click the checkbox in the timeline to mark a task as done.
  • Learn more in the Tasks article.

Automation Safety Guard

When you change a lead's stage using the status dropdown and the target stage has active automations, Leadflip protects you from accidentally triggering those automations. The same two-step safety mechanism from the Kanban board applies:

  1. Confirmation modal – Lists the automations that will run. You can cancel or confirm. Check "Don't show this warning again" to skip the modal globally.
  2. 5-second countdown toast – After confirming, a cancellable countdown appears in the bottom-right corner. Click Cancel to abort, or let it complete to finalize the stage change.

The dropdown reverts to the previous stage if you cancel at any point.

Best Practices

  • Keep notes concise – Use notes for context that isn't captured in structured fields.
  • Edit fields promptly – Update contact info, status, and custom fields as you work the lead.
  • Check history – Before reaching out, review the timeline to see prior touches and notes.
